 GMS Students in Action

On Friday, Team Sentinel sixth graders read their water cycle story books to groups of third graders. It was a great mix of science, literacy, art, and making connections! A good time was had by all!

Ask an 8th grader if they saw George Washington this week.

Ask a 7th grader about the distributive property for multiplication, valence electrons, or colonization.

If your student is a 6th grader, just casually drop a comment about the order of operations (math).  Or maybe mention what it would be like to live in arctic conditions.  It might start an interesting conversation.

 Goodbye February.  Hello March!

Parent’s Invited :: Coffee & Conversation   On Thursday, March 13 at 9:00 a.m., parents are welcome to join me for coffee and a very casual conversation and brainstorm about supporting students and supporting teachers. If you’re interested, send me an RSVP email at [email protected] so I know how much coffee to make!  We’ll meet in the back section of the cafeteria.  Thanks,

Dr. Monte Selby, GMS 6-8 principal
