The GMS 6th grade band and 7th/8th Band took the big stage this week. Impressive performances at the GCA!
Modern Language teachers create “unforgettable” learning!
Dr. Parra’s 6th graders experience a lesson called, "The journey from cocoa to chocolate." (El viaje del cacao al chocolate)
Students in Emily Bogner-Williams' class read along as their classmates bring the novel to life with Reader's Theater. The actors pictured below portray Monarch caterpillars, butterflies, their instincts, and the weather. Ask an 8th grader: Will the Monarchs make it to Michoacán, México in time for Day of the Dead?
Students in Sra. Lailer's class learned about the iconic Mexican celebration, Dia de Los Muertos, and created decorations for the classroom “ofrenda” ( An ofrenda is an altar or offering that is set up in homes in Mexico and other countries during the annual Day of the Dead celebration).
