Employee Spotlight of the Week

Where are you from? Where did you go to school?
I grew up mostly in Oakland, Maine with the exception of a few years of my childhood spent in Italy while my dad served in the Navy. I went to Messalonskee High School and then attended the University of Maine at Farmington.

Share something about your family and/or pets.
I live in North Yarmouth with my husband and our two children. We also have a yellow lab who thinks he is a lap dog and loves everyone. Our energetic, fun loving kids keep us on our toes and are a daily reminder to just enjoy the simple things in life.

What makes you proud to be a member of the MSAD #51 community?
I feel fortunate to be a part of a community that is highly motivated in inspiring students and having a positive impact through education. I work with so many wonderful people who I am fortunate to learn from, collaborate with and work together in creating a welcoming environment for our students.

When you are not in school, what can you be found doing?
Exploring all of what Maine has to offer. We spend a lot of time outside fishing, four wheeling, hiking, spending time at camp and taking advantage of little adventures whenever we can.

What celebrity would you cast to play you in the movie of your life?
This was a tricky one. I had to get a little inspiration from my people for this question. Kristen Bell for the win. She seems fun and down to earth with a sense of humor and I can relate to that.

What was your favorite class in school?
I always enjoyed math class when I was in school, especially algebra.
