Pooled Testing

During the week of Christmas, December 20-24, because the schedule cycle for test and follow up will be interrupted, pooled testing will not be conducted or collected in any Maine schools. This means that the week following the break there will not be an exception to quarantine for identified close contacts participating in pooled testing. The exception to quarantine will resume once a full cycle of testing has occurred.

Contact Tracing During Winter Break

The nursing team will be out of the office from Thursday, December 23rd thru Monday, January 3rd. We will not be doing contact tracing or COVID exposure notifications during this timeframe.  However, there may be limited contact tracing and exposure notification surrounding athletics to be determined on an as needed basis by the Athletic Director in consultation with the high school nurse and athletic trainer.  We will resume these activities and respond to questions upon our return to school on January 3rd.

If you have a question regarding COVID-19, please reach out to your Primary Care Provider or the COVID-19 information line 211.

If you are reporting a POSITIVE COVID-19 result, it would be helpful if you could provide the answers to the questions below in order for us to conduct contact tracing and exposure notifications upon our return to school on Monday, January 3rd.

Click Here to Report a Positive COVID-19 Case

  1. What day did your child’s symptoms start?
  2. What was their last day in school?
  3. Does your child take the bus? AM and PM?
  4. Do they do any school based extracurricular activities? (newspaper club, chorus, band, sports)?
  5. Do they have any siblings in the district?
  6. What was the date the test was obtained?
  7. What was the date that you received test results?
  8. What was the type of test obtained? Of note, the district would like to know about a positive home test, however, in order to conduct contact tracing per the Maine CDC/DOE we will need to have a lab confirmed COVID-19 test (PCR, rapid at facility).
